About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Texas Radiology Opening
A fairly small radiology group in northeast Texas is offering a partnership position for a general diagnostic radiologist. The group staffs three hospitals and a new 14,000 sq/ft. imaging center. The main hospital is only a few years old so they have excellent facilities and equipment. The group has Nighthawk from 11:00-7:00 and PACS. Vacation comes to 15 weeks which includes a day off post call. Their equipment includes digital mammography, 2 64 slice CTs, and voice recognition software. The partnership track is one year and partners are making in the $600,000 range. The group covers CME, malpractice, and offers a $40,000 pension plan. They are looking forward to talking with interested candidates right away.
