About Radiology Jobs

According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)

Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH), one of the founding hospitals of the Crozer-Keystone Health System, is a 247-bed not-for-profit community hospital that offers a broad range of acute and specialized services.

From its beginning in 1990, Crozer-Keystone Health System, located minutes from Philadelphia, has been the dominant provider of health care in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, northern Delaware, and part of western New Jersey. The population covered represents almost a million people.

The health system comprises five hospitals (four are acute and one operates as outpatient), a comprehensive physician network of primary-care and specialty practices, and the Healthplex® Sports Club. These facilities house a Level 2 trauma center, a regional burn center, two regional cancer centers, a fertility center, a sleep-disorders center, and a U.S. Olympic Committee designated sports science and technology center. With more than 1,100 physicians and 7,100 total employees, Crozer-Keystone is the largest employer in Delaware County.

Philadelphia, a dynamic place where big city excitement meets hometown charm, awaits your arrival. Famous as the birthplace of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the cradle of liberty offers much more than cobblestone streets and historical landmarks. Cultural, culinary, artistic, and ethnic treasures abound in this city and its surrounding countryside. The fifth-largest city in the country, Philadelphia is a welcoming place, a city based on freedom of expression.

New and one-of-a-kind attractions, a wealth of art and culture, renowned performing arts companies, awe-inspiring architecture, a walkable downtown, seemingly endless shopping (with no tax on clothes), and a restaurant renaissance that has caught the world's attention all promise to create an unforgettable Philadelphia experience.

And, of course, the greatest concentration of American history can be found just blocks away at Independence National Historical Park, including the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.
