About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. IR in Southeastern NC
A large well-established single-specialty group in the heart of North Carolina is seeking add another interventional radiologist in a partnership track position. This stable and growing practice is the dominant group in the area and is comprised of over 20 well trained radiologists who presently staff two hospitals and a stand alone imaging facility. The initial base compensation will be around $300,000 with a two year partnership track, and 10 weeks vacation. They also offer a full benefits package including a very lucrative pension plan. They utilize some of the newest imaging technology including PACS. The group is located in a rapidly growing prosperous community that is about two hours from the beach and one hour from a major airport. They will consider both experienced physicians as well as fellows and are interested in setting up interviews soon!
