Radiologist


Responsible for providing interpretation of imaging procedures performed at both VAGCVHCS and KAFB with the following requirements:

Ability to work in filmless environment (all studies on PACS).  Ability to utilize both traditional transcription services as well as voice recognition technology. Recent experience (within last year) with use of computers. Recent experience (within last year) of interpreting MRI procedures (head, body, extremities).Ability to interpret plain films, CTs, ultrasounds. Ability to perform and interpret fluoroscopic procedures (UGIs, Bes, etc).Ability to interpret nuclear medicine studies is desirable. Ability to perform biopsies, myelograms is desirable. Level of daily workload expected in a single modality: Routine diagnostic cases: 70-80 per day, CT Scans:  25 per day, mixed body areas, Fluoroscopic Procedures:  2 per hour, Ultrasound:  30 per day. MRI:  15-20  per day, mixed body areas

BC/BE Radiology, MRI fellowship training is preferred.BLS/ACLS, Evidence of physical examination with no limitation will be provided, employees must have a negative PPD within the last year, or; if a known reaction, a negative chest x-ray within the past year, immunity against Hepatitis B (Hepatitis B-Surface Antibody Titer) or declination that vaccine was refused; and required Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination
