This very busy private practice with nearly 30 radiologists is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric radiologist, preferably someone who can start anytime in 2012. The groups’ primary hospital is a 400-bed facility, but they also cover 30 outlying clinics and community hospitals throughout North Texas and Oklahoma. The main facility is equipped with several GE 1.5 MR’s, one multi-slice CT, two spiral CT’s, two angiography suites, R2CAD, stereo mammotome and three Acuson Sequoia units. The facility has been recognized as a Center of Excellence by US News and World Report and the practice continues to adopt the latest technology to provide quality medical care. Their teleradiology component is state-of-the-art and continues to expand! They have developed Enterprise PACS throughout their system allowing the radiologist to read from the most rural areas without having to travel to them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You can expect to read roughly 25-30% ped rad, with the balance in diagnostic radiology. Some basic mammo is required, but is infrequent. There is no requirement for IR, unless you choose to participate in it. General call is taken in shifts with the radiologists overlapping hours until 11 pm, when the nighthawk takes over.
