Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Hospital in Wyoming is looking for a diagnostic radiologist to read 50 studies a day. The breakdown is 20-25 plain film, 10-15 ultrasound, 5-9 Mammography screenings and 2-3 diagnostic mammography studies. Breast MR is a plus but not required. A Requirement is cardiolight studies 2-4 a day. The radiologist will also need do do light intervention work, an occasional flouro, arthogram, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbars, chest tube, and drainages. The facility uses a PACS system in conjunction with a transcriptionist. The job is ongoing 2 -4 months per year starting January 2015 through the entire year. A condo will be provided with a TV, DVD player, kitchen, and the condo is connected to the PACS system. If you are looking for an assignment close to Jackson Hole, WY or Utah this is the place.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
