Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A community hospital on the northern California coastline is in need of solo diagnostic radiologist coverage from 6/12 - 6/16, 6/19 -6/23. 8am to 5 pm, no call, and no weekends. The average day consists of 8 cat scans, 12 ultrasounds, 6 MR, 6-8 mammograms, 1 nuclear medicine study and the remainder plain film. There may be 1-2 flouro cases and 3 to 5 paracentesis per week. Mammography can be worked around if needed. The total daily volume is 60 to 70 studies per day and they site uses Carestream PACS and a transcriptionist.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
