An impressive international airport which allows you access to 90% of the industrial world in less than 9 hours! From ANC you can fly directly to many major cities. It takes only 3 hours to get to Seattle and a little over 5 hours to fly directly to Honolulu. Direct flights to Europe in the summertime.

  • High-end museum that uses art, history, and science to create a rich understanding of AK and beyond
  • World-class resort for both summer and winter fun-filled activities

Even in the winter, South Central Alaska dazzles with snowy outdoor adventures offering snowmobiling, ice skating rinks, snow shoeing, groomed cross-country ski trails, downhill skiing both in Anchorage and just a few miles away at the world-class Aleyska Resort. Anchorage offers great theater, nightlife, and events that celebrate winter unlike anywhere else. Even during the shortest days of the year, there are still about 7.5 hours of functional daylight. Winter weather here is comparable to other northern cities; even the coldest days stay relatively warm, creating prime conditions to enjoy the snowy adventures.
