Clinical Nurse Specialist

Our facility is looking for a full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). Using principles of case management, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will be focusing on improvement of processes, treatments, plans of care and other related interventions to improve the delivery of high quality care.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will function as a clinical resource, providing clinical, professional, educational and quality improvement consultation to our Associates in pursuit of improved care delivery and improved patient outcomes. The scope of practice encompasses the use of the nursing process in: practice, education, consultation, research and administration. The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for facilitating the development of clinical excellence in their respective areas of perinatal, maternal, neonatal and pediatrics. They will also serve as a resource for hospitalized patients admitted to medical/surgical and other areas due to other complications.

Qualifications:
RN license in state of Virginia
Masters in Nursing
Advanced knowledge of perinatal, maternal, neonatal and pediatric nursing practice required
Professional certification required by the Virginia State Board of Nursing
Minimum of 5 years experience in formal and informal settings preferred
Knowledge of adult learning principles required
