About Radiology Nursing Jobs
The radiology department has evolved to the point where specially trained nurses are needed. Generally only larger medical centers have radiological nurses on staff. Like other nurses they provide for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of patients undergoing tests or treatment, but radiology nurses focus patients in the medical imaging departments.
They provide patient care in imaging environments such as general diagnostic, cardiovascular, interventional, ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine, MRI, and radiation oncology. Radiological nurses must have graduated from an accredited nursing school and pass the national licensing examination. (Source: radiologyinfo.com and American Radiological Nurses Association)
