Radiography Program Director

We have an immediate opportunity at our Fenton, MO campus:

Radiography Program Director –
Fenton, MO

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director of Education to create program curriculum in compliance with program accreditations standards.
  • Correspond with programmatic accreditation and/or licensing agencies and complete required reports in order to create programmatic accreditation and/or licensure status
  • Develop externship/practicum/clinical affiliations as required by program
  • Participate in searches for program faculty
  • Make curriculum and textbook proposals to the Academic Council as indicated by program evaluation, accreditation/licensure requirements, or market needs
  • Ensure that total contact hours for courses taught are delivered.
  • Conduct classes using organized and interesting methods, which simulate a work environment and facilitate student motivation. (Assume responsibility for student learning rather than allowing students to fail to learn.)
  • Serve as a professional role model for students.
  • Strive to improve instructional effectiveness.
  • Monitor and record daily class attendance and grades within the established procedures.
  • Attend faculty meetings, in-services training sessions, instructional meetings as required.
  • Participate in at least four (4) professional development activities annually in order to remain current in field of instruction (information as well as technology).
  • These activities can include participation in professional organizations, workshops, in-services, and work application.
  • Develop and administer examinations based upon stated course objectives.
  • Correct and return quizzes, tests, and lab assignments by the next class session.
  • Maintain posted office hours of at least 3 – 5 hours per week.
  • Provide tutoring and informal advising to students as needed.
  • Work with the college administration, staff and other faculty members to improve the overall operation of the college and student satisfaction rates.
  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:
  • Masters degree in health related field
  • ARRT registered
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in the Radiography field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
