About Teleradiology Jobs
Due to rapid technology advancement and improvements in electronic transmission of medical images, Teleradiology has emerged as a viable and cost effective alternative for many hospitals and clinics needing coverage for medical imaging.
Teleradiology transmits radiological images, such as x-rays, CTs, and MRIs, from one location to another for the purposes of interpretation and/or consultation. Digital images are transmitted over a distance using standard telephone lines, satellite connections, or local area networks (LANs). Teleradiology also is beginning to include the process of interfacing with the HIS/RIS systems in the transporting of digital images.(Source: filmdigitizer.com)
Breast MR, Interventional
Here is a fantastic opportunity for a fellowship trained radiologist to get a fair amount of their subspecialty while enjoying a four day work week.
The group feels that a strength in Breast MR or Interventional is probably the best fit. There's plenty of Breast MR and Women's Imaging. The Interventionalist can expect about 30% IR, some vascular work and quite a bit of pain management. Three rads in the group are interventionalists and they have two PA's that help with IR call.
