Due to rapid technology advancement and improvements in electronic transmission of medical images, Teleradiology has emerged as a viable and cost effective alternative for many hospitals and clinics needing coverage for medical imaging.
Teleradiology transmits radiological images, such as x-rays, CTs, and MRIs, from one location to another for the purposes of interpretation and/or consultation. Digital images are transmitted over a distance using standard telephone lines, satellite connections, or local area networks (LANs). Teleradiology also is beginning to include the process of interfacing with the HIS/RIS systems in the transporting of digital images.(Source: filmdigitizer.com)
Radiologists-Women's Imaging, Body Imaging/MSK, Neuro
M1105-Fellowship Trained Women's Imager/Mammographer Needed in South Florida!! Outstanding reputable 11+ person Radiology group in Palm Beach County, Florida is looking to add an additional fellowship trained Mammographer or Women's Imager. This position can be designed to be 100% Mammo/Women's Imaging and without call responsibilities if so desired. The practice is comprised of a large 400+bed community hospital and five nearby outpatients imaging centers. The position involves all aspects of Mammography/Woman’s Imaging and includes an active biopsy service (stereotactic, ultrasound and MR guided). The equipment is state or the art and includes two newly installed Digital Mammography units with CAD(3), Breast MR, and a system-wide PACS. Nighthawk in place from midnight - 7:00 am. Outstanding compensation package will be offered to the right candidate. Base salary specifically depends on training, exeperience and how well you interview. This is a 2 year partnership track (No Buy In) with an increase to your base salary in year 2. Benefit package includes paid malpractice insurance, 8 weeks of vacation in year 1, 3,500 stipend for CME, relocation and much more.

This group is hospital based at a state of the art 400+bed medical facility. The group also provides services to 5 outpatient centers. All facilities are linked in to the system wide PACS systems. Additionally, Nighthawk in place from midnight - 7:00 am.
