About Teleradiology Jobs
Due to rapid technology advancement and improvements in electronic transmission of medical images, Teleradiology has emerged as a viable and cost effective alternative for many hospitals and clinics needing coverage for medical imaging.
Teleradiology transmits radiological images, such as x-rays, CTs, and MRIs, from one location to another for the purposes of interpretation and/or consultation. Digital images are transmitted over a distance using standard telephone lines, satellite connections, or local area networks (LANs). Teleradiology also is beginning to include the process of interfacing with the HIS/RIS systems in the transporting of digital images.(Source: filmdigitizer.com)

Sheridan Radiologists: 2
• On site weekday hours are 8A-5P
• On site weekend hours are 8A-12 PM (Noon)
• PACS: Mckesson PACS system
• Voice Recognition: Powerscribe
• Modality Breakdown per day:
CT 25-30
MR 6-8
NUC 8-10
US 10-12
X-RAY 105
• Annual Volume: 70,000 Exams
• Daily Volume: 200 appx.
• Digital Mammography: New Selenia, all digital, dedicated reading station
• Breast MRI and Biopsies: Yes
• IR coverage: Yes needed 7 days a week. Phillips unit in IR Suite
