Director of Breast Imaging needed for a private practice group of 13 full-time and 5 part-time radiologists. Fellowship training is preferred with Board certification or Board eligibility. The group cover 1-250 bed hospital (expanding with an additional 200 beds by 2010). They also cover a joint venture imaging center (all Seimens equipment) and a hospital breast center (digital). They have great relations with the hospitals administration.
You can expect to do 100% breast imaging which would include about 80-90 screenings per day, 20-30 diagnostic reads, and about 8-10 procedures. They have Lo-Rad digital mammo equipment.
They have different options available for employee and partnership tract positions, and are flexible for the right candidate. There is an 8am - 5pm No Call as an employee or a 4 day work week, with call on partnership tract. They have an influx of about 20% during the winter vs. summer months.
Call is 1:7.5 with split shifts and 1.5 weekends per month. They have a nighthawk that is from 10pm - 7am Monday through Sunday.
Initial income is negotiable depending on tract and partnership tract is no more than two years. Vacation is 8 weeks year one and 10 weeks year two. Partner earnings are around $500K.
