If the warm days of summer lulled you into complacency, now is the time to act! Our client, a 300 bed acute care facility, serving a wide variety of patients in the Valley of the Sun, is seeking a skilled and organized Supervisor of Ultrasound.
Duties and general responsibilities include providing excellent patient care in Ultrasound as well as overseeing daily operations of the department. As a working Supervisor you will concentrate the majority of your work on direct patient care, scanning early OB, neonatal heads, Breast US for locs and biopsies, thyroid, prostate, paracentesis pelvis, abdominal, thoracentesis, venous studies and some OR procedures. Supervisory duties will include coordinating staff work load and administering department related issues in the course of the day. As a leader in Ultrasound, you will also attend occasional meetings, develop staff schedules, provide staff reviews and organize departmental meetings as needed.
Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree with ARDMS registry (AB or OB and some vascular experience) and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in Ultrasound is desired. Supervisory experience and strong skills in Ultrasound (ARDMS registry required) will be also considered. Leadership, decision making and demonstrated ability to build a team and develop positive working relationships with patients, staff, physicians and vendors are also desired.
