Radiologist Assistant, 052231
The Radiologist Assistant will be an experienced, registered Radiographer who has additional training and certifications to work as a Radiologist Extender. Area of responsibility includes: 1) the lead role in patient management and assessment, determining whether a patient has been appropriately prepared for a procedure, obtaining patient consent and adapting exam protocols to improve diagnostic quality; 2) Performs selected radiology exams and procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist; 3) Responsible for evaluating image quality, making initial image observations and forwarding those observations to the supervising Radiologist.
Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology, NYS license/ registration, and Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography with a Verified Radiology Assistant Certification from an approved institution. Current BLS CPR Certification. 1-2 yrs. experience preferred. New graduate eligible for interview.
Specific shift/hours to be determined. Overtime, weekends and holidays may be required based on departmental needs.
