Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced PRN CT Tech Aide. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Radiology department where you will be responsible for:

Assist CT technical staff and patients to expedite CT casework/imaging. Helps move patients on and off radiology table. Answer phones in department. Transports patients of all ages when necessary (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).


  • Works with the technologist moving patients within the radiology department.
  • Transports patients when necessary for radiology department.
  • Answers phones and interacts with callers to the radiology department.
  • Prepare and set up radiology rooms for exams.
  • Provides excellent customer service by utilizing good communication skills and knowledge to ensure UT Health and departmental objectives are maintained.
  • Maintain a safe radiology environment at all times.
  • Assist and support other departments as necessary.

So what experience are we looking for in our CT Techs?

  • Education:
    • High School graduate or equivalent.


      • Previous imaging transport experience preferred.
      • Previous customer service experience required.

Certification and Licensure:

      • CPR Certified Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire date.


      • Work requires heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time).


      • Work involves intermittent to occasional exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable elements; may involve some contact with potentially hazardous or harmful elements.
