Interventional Radiology Technologist

IYA Medical is a growing Outpatient Interventional Radiology Center located in Scottsdale Arizona. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring that the patient is comfortable and ready for the procedure.
• Administer contrast agents and other medications as needed during the procedure, under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or adverse reactions to the Radiologist.
• Assist the Radiologist during procedures by positioning the patient, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring that the images obtained are of high quality.
• Monitor and maintain the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for interventional radiology procedures.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Document all procedures performed, including patient information, imaging data, and any adverse events or complications.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including regular review of imaging data, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Arizona.
• Experience working in interventional radiology, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain procedures to patients and collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Proficiency in using imaging equipment and technology, including PACS and electronic health records (EHRs).
