Eastern Texas ground floor opportunity

Radiology group seeking to add four full time radiologists to to the team the ideal candidates will have a combination of the following skills Interventional Radiology and General Diagnostic Radiology the general rad should be competent in all modalites including being MQSA certified. Group is considering two different work sceniors one being Two IR, two diagnostic working a fourteen day on, fourteen day off rotation. One physician would work Monday through Friday, 8A-5P, Saturday and Sunday 8A-12P. The second physician would work Monday through Friday 2P-11P, Saturday and Sunday 12P-4P. NRC provides 24 hour IR call, which would be divided between the two physicians on rotation. As this model allows for each physician to essentially be off 26 weeks a year, salaries would ideally be held to $400, 000 annually. Group will provide 50% of the physician’s monthly premiums for medical insurance including dental and vision. Any dependents covered are the responsibility of the physicians. 401k plans with safe harbor contributions of up to 3% of salaries capped at $265,000 are available after one year of service.

The second model is to have two IR physicians and one diagnostic reader. The IR physicians would work a similar schedule as above, except one would cover the other’s time off and call would be divided between the two. The diagnostic reader would work Monday through Friday 8A-5P. The salary for the two IR physicians would be $400,000 the first year, $450,000 the second year, and $500,000 the third year. The salary for the diagnostic physician would be $400,000 annually. All three would receive 10, then twelve weeks off per year. Health and 401K benefits for this model are the same as above.

IR physician: The IR candidate will need to perform a full complement of interventional procedures and be able to handle diagnostic readings as well. The split at DHoL is roughly 40/60 interventional/diagnostic.

Diagnostic physician: The diagnostic candidate will need to be a high volume reader who is capable of reading a full complement of diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will be MQSA certified and be able to read nuclear medicine (including cardiac stress), MRIs (MSK, body, and nuero preferred). The diagnostic reader should expect to read 120-150 mixed modality studies a day.
