Academic Abdominal Imagers
for after-hours work
UPMC/University of Pittsburgh
Department of Radiology
Division of Emergency & Teleradiology
Assistant/Associate/Professor, Non-Tenure (Full-Time)
The UPMC/University of Pittsburgh Division of Emergency & Teleradiology is expanding and looking for academic abdominal imagers. The Division was founded in July 2008 with 6 radiologists (3 body imagers and 3 neuroimagers) and has experienced substantial growth. Today, we have 16 radiologists (7 body imagers and 9 neuroimagers) covering 15 hospitals, 4 of which are Level 1 Trauma Centers, and 6 certified stroke centers.
The Division is growing yet again! We are presently seeking motivated and qualified fellowship-trained radiologists. Candidates must be board certified and willing to relocate to Pittsburgh. Body imagers ideally should have completed an abdominal imaging/body imaging fellowship (MSK, Emergency Radiology and Thoracic Imaging fellowships will also be considered).
As a member of our faculty, your practice would be almost exclusively within your specialty with nominal MSK. Our Division provides an excellent blend of both academic and community style work. Faculty will work with residents. Research and lectures are optional. Work frequency is 1 week on and 2 weeks off. Internal moonlighting is also available. The Division is flexible, and compensation is very competitive.
UPMC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is a $10 billion global health enterprise with 60,000 employees, more than 20 academic, community, and specialty hospitals, and more than 500 doctors’ offices and outpatient sites.
