Subspecialty: Musculoskeletal Imaging

Scottsdale Medical Imaging, Ltd. (SMIL) is a well-established, sub-specialized group of 38 radiologists. We provide services at three high quality community hospitals in Scottsdale, Arizona, including a Level 1 trauma center and a busy cancer center. SMIL owns approximately a dozen outpatient-imaging centers throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and has operations in multiple other facilities.

We are looking for a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist to fill a full-time onsite day time position within our practice in Scottsdale, AZ. Strong candidates must have a desire to contribute to continued growth of an excellent high volume orthopedic imaging service as well as perform imaging-guided musculoskeletal procedures. The applicant will be a leader in the MSK radiology section, which has five physicians.

Our unique SMIL Research Institute is an entity through which we perform phase I through IV clinical research in all subspecialty areas. Interested physicians would have the opportunity to gain research literacy as well as participate in sponsored and academic clinical trials.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong focus on musculoskeletal imaging, with a lesser degree of general radiology. There is no mammography, nuclear medicine, or IR responsibility
  • A proven track record of outstanding interpersonal and communication skills is expected
  • Shift assignment, call responsibility, and vacation allotment are all shared equally


  • Candidates will be residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (recent graduates falling under the new ABR guidelines)
  • Interest in providing research leadership is a bonus
