Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) is one of the top radiology practices in Florida offering a unique combination of hospital, outpatient, academic, research and teleradiology services. The group consists of 70+ sub-specialized radiologists covering Tampa General Hospital and Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System. These hospitals were recently ranked # 2 and #8 respectively as the best hospitals in the US according to US News and World Report. Tampa General is considered the best hospital in the Tampa area, according to Becker’s Healthcare. The hospital is known for its Level One trauma center, regional burn center, and is one of the busiest transplant centers in the country.

In addition, the practice covers several outpatient imaging centers as well as the University of South Florida, serving as the primary teaching faculty for the department.

This group practice emphasizes quality and safety using state-of-the art equipment and is one of the first radiology groups in the country to implement Clinical Decision Support (CDS) with ACR Select in order to reduce the rate of inappropriate testing.

Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida is seeking a full-time fellowship trained Cardiac/Thoracic Imager to support our growing practice in Tampa, FL. This is a unique, hybrid private practice/academic position with large volume of cardiac MRI and CT. The ideal candidate will read cardiac MRI, CT, and thoracic imaging with the ability to read nuclear cardiac a plus! Candidates will work regularly with a dedicated cardiothoracic imaging fellow, 2-3 radiology residents, and medical students on a daily basis. The candidate will also receive an academic appointment in the Department of Radiology at the University of South Florida and participate in inter-disciplinary meetings with Cardiology and Pulmonary Medicine. Three is an option for Section Director of Cardiothoracic Imaging or Fellowship Program Director based upon experience and interest.

This opportunity is a full-time, partnership track position with a weekend requirement of only 9 weekend days/year and no overnight call. They offer the full range of benefits to include generous PTO and moonlighting opportunities.


• Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of
Diagnostic Radiology
• Licensed or have the ability to obtain a FL license
• Completed a one-year post-residency fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging
• ABR certified/eligible
