The Regional Medical Center (RCM), part of Radiology Partners, originated as a small, private hospital started by Dr. Charles A. Mobley in 1919, and has now grown to a 286-bed, acute-care, regional medical center owned by Orangeburg and Calhoun counties. The Regional Medical Center also operates nine Primary Care practices, three Cardiology practices, an Orthopedics practice, two Surgery practices, an Internal medicine practice, an Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology practice, and an Obstetrics/Gynecology practice, as well as after-hours Urgent Care with physician, lab and X-Ray in Santee and Bamberg. RMC’s Mobile Services van provides digital mammography throughout the region.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Part-time Interventional Radiologist. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of diagnostic radiology with the ability to perform light IR call. This opportunity is a Part-time, day only Monday – Friday. It includes light IR on-call Monday-Sunday 6-8 weeks/year and a sign on bonus.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be comfortable with all aspects of diagnostic radiology. Some of the IR procedures include the following:

  • Kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty (if possible)
  • RF ablation (if possible)
  • Drainages/biopsies using CT and US (required)
  • Thyroid FNA (required)
  • Paracentesis/ Thoracentesis (required)
  • Breast procedures - ultrasound biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, wire localizations (required)
  • Mammography/breast imaging interpretations
  • No arterial or venous work
  • IR SI Injections
  • IR Spinal Puncture
  • MRI Breast Biopsies
  • Potentially serve as Radiology Medical Director for the facility

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified or eligible
  • Must do all procedures outlined above and be MQSA certified
  • Licensed or have the ability to be licensed in the state of SC
