POSITION SUMMARY

Coastal Radiology Associates, a Radiology Partners affiliate is seeking a General Radiologist due to expansion in the North Carolina market. The ideal candidate is proficient in general radiology and light IR. This 452-bed hospital (Southeastern Regional Medical Center) sees over 15,000 inpatient and over 60,000 emergency room patients annually. The Radiology Department offers state-of-the-art services to include MRI, Angiography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT and traditional X-ray exams. Supported by in-house IT, we have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice.

The current team is comprised of three (3) Interventionalists who rotate through this site, one (1) diagnostic radiologist, one (1) PA and 1 ½ remote daytime readers. Overnight reads are provided for remotely. Coastal Radiology is in need of a full time General radiologist who does light IR.

This position is based in Lumberton, NC with proximity to Fayetteville and Interstate 95 and is known as the halfway point between New York and Florida. Historic Downtown offers the Lumber River, listed as a National Wild and Scenic River and voted one of North Carolina’s Top Ten Natural Wonders. Lumberton offers a moderate climate, affordable housing, historic and cultural attractions and is near the beach, the mountains and great golf courses.

We are offering a generous compensation package, signing bonus, relocation, 1-year partnership track and additional bonuses. Additionally, we offer an excellent benefits package to include all medical benefits, retirement funding and 10 weeks of PTO! We also provide exceptional benefits such as health, life, med mal, and a retirement fund. Once a partner, PTO is 12 weeks an RP Equity is provided as a partnership benefit.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Radiology
  • Perform light IR procedures
  • Reads everything except mammo
  • Flexible Scheduling
    • Monday – Friday (with 1 weekend a month, working from home, comp time is given for the weekend)
  • No call and nights are covered remotely
  • PA takes weekend procedure call, opportunity to share this for additional pay
  • Partnership track position for full time position

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • Post-residency fellowship training in Vascular Interventional radiology required
  • Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in both Diagnostic and Vascular Interventional Radiology
  • Candidates on a J1 visa will be considered
  • The ideal candidate will:
    • Possess excellent communication skills
    • Be licensed in the state of North Carolina or able to obtain NC license
    • Be ACLS certified
