General/Interventional Radiology Need-Short Partnership Track
Subspecialty: Interventional Radiology

Reason for this 6-member group's search is related to the recent departure of a partner earlier this summer. They are ideally looking for someone with 2-3 or more years' of experience, preferably with some background in interventional radiology; or at least the ability and willingness to perform high-level procedures (de-clots/dialysis work, embolizations, some pain management, etc) as well as more basic procedures (para/thora, lung biopsies, US-breast biopsies but no stereo). This is a fairly busy, high income group and it may be an ideal setting for someone with an IR background looking for a place to earn better than average partnership income. In addition, you can also expect a fair amount of time off.

They cover multiple hospitals and the closest someone could feasibly live to St. Louis (the closest major city) is 20-30 minutes. But it is a solid opportunity for someone with practice experience and the IR skills that is already used to a busy practice, but perhaps not getting compensated as well for it. Clinically, they need a general radiologist able to do everything including the basic IR work. An ideal candidate would bring the IR skills combined with the willingness to spend only a portion of your clinical time doing these procedures, probably not more than 40-50% of your day/week. It is a general radiology position overall with multiple fellowship-trained IR physicians in the practice and they are ideally looking for another with an IR background for this opening. A qualified candidate also needs to be able to do mammography including the US-guided biopsies, which is understandably a uniquely skilled radiologist to find these days.

The equipment is solid at all of their hospitals and all of their hospitals have been on PACS and voice recognition for many years. They have had a nighthawk service that takes over at 9 pm along with a swing shift person that works 2-9 pm from home. The group has been together for 20+ years and they have been successful over their time together recruiting top notch people with practice experience that come from renowned training programs. They are currently considering interested and qualified candidates presently that can get, or already have, an Illinois license who can start practicing with them ASAP.
