POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking to add a motivated Breast Imager to our well-established, multi-specialty practice in Anchorage, Alaska!

This opportunity is full time, offering extremely generous compensation, vacation and full benefits including malpractice insurance, disability and health insurance / HSA, 401K and CME allowance.

Alaska Radiology Associates (ARA) is Alaska’s largest private practice radiology group and is dedicated to providing a full range of high-quality imaging and professional radiology services. Founded in 1969, we provide full-spectrum imaging and interventional services for the largest hospital in the State of Alaska as well as outpatient imaging centers located in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. Further, we provide subspecialized teleradiology services for clients from Nome and Kotzebue to Dutch Harbor and Skagway. We work closely with leading healthcare providers to diagnose and treat patients in a professional, accessible, and compassionate manner.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full spectrum of breast imaging and intervention (we operate three of only four BICOEs in Alaska)
  • 8-5, M-F and Average of 4 Sat-Sun Weekends per year
  • Occasional (3-4 per year) weekly rotations on Kodiak Island, an idyllic island community medical center with high quality oceanfront housing provided by practice
  • Tomosynthesis units at all sites. Newest Hologic stereo/tomo tables with lateral arm. Affirm biopsy capability. Wireless localizations.
  • General diagnostic radiology, including X-ray, CT, US, MRI, PET and DEXA
  • General radiology procedures such as FNA, US Guided Soft Tissue Biopsy, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis
  • NO MSK or Neuro MRI required. Subspecialty readers in the practice for MSK and Neuro and Vascular.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fellows and residents welcome to apply
  • Board certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Ideally completed in a one-year fellowship training, in Breast Imaging or equivalent experience.
