Summary of Opportunity

Temple Health’s Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) and the Department of Radiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible radiologist for a faculty position in Breast Imaging.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a robust growing mammography division with services provided primarily at Fox Chase Cancer Center. As well as other Temple University Hospital’s affiliate sites. There is also opportunity for a leadership role depending on experience level. Our Breast imagers enjoy a great quality of life, as this opportunity is full time mammography only with no night call, weekend call, or non-mammography responsibilities. A leadership opportunity in mammography may be available for qualified applicants.

Candidates must be an M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent with board certification or board eligibility in radiology. Fellowship training in breast imaging preferred but not required. MQSA certification and expertise in digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsies, MRI guided biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localization procedures required. Ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA prior to start date is also required.

Our dynamic breast program is composed of a collegial multidisciplinary team of breast specialists, including breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists who provide state of the art comprehensive care at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple University Hospital and its affiliate sites. The Department of Radiology interprets over 27,000 breast imaging exams yearly and we provide a full spectrum of breast imaging services including: digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MR, ultrasound and MR image-guided procedures including needle localizations, RF localization and stereotactic, ultrasound, and MR-guided biopsies. Temple is equipped with the latest technology including Hologic 3D Mammography technology on all campuses including, upright Affirm biopsy equipment.

Teaching is an important part of our program and our faculty actively participate in resident education and interdepartmental breast tumor boards. Opportunities exist for engagement in research for interested applicants at both Fox Chase Cancer Center; a top NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the country as well as at Temple University Hospital.
