Private Practice Overnight Remote Radiologist: Read From Anywhere in the Country!

Practice overview:

Atlantic Medical Imaging (AMI) is a physician-led, quality-driven medical imaging private practice committed to clinical excellence serving the southern New Jersey area since 1964. We provide exclusive radiology services in 22 outpatient facilities and 2 hospital sites. Our 72 board-certified radiologists and vascular surgeons and 800+ member staff work diligently to make AMI the region’s premier imaging provider of choice.

Job Description:

  • Position Summary: Overnight remote radiologist. Ideal candidate would be body, neuroradiology, or Emergency radiology trained, but any radiologist with a general skill set is invited to apply. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible and will need an active NJ license.
  • Hours: 11 pm – 8am EST. 7 nights on, 14 days off.
  • Start Date: Ideally January 2024.
  • Responsibilities: Overnight hospital ER coverage with some emergent inpatient cases. Level 2 trauma center and stroke center. Average ~6 to 7 wRVU/hr.

Compensation Package/Benefits:

  • Salary: 400-425k Average volume with top competitive pay. Comes out to over $50/RVU though compensation is not RVU based. W2 position.
  • Malpractice Insurance: Occurrence-Based insurance (no need for tail coverage).
  • Supplemental income: Ample internal moonlighting options available if desired.
  • Workstation: Provided by group.
  • Other: 401k/profit sharing plan, medical/dental/vision insurance with HSA/FSA option, CME stipend.

Workflow:

  • State of the art workflow: RadAI software for efficient report creation (automatic impression generation), latest versions of powerscribe and PACS software, radiology assistants to call in findings.
  • Backup coverage by local radiologists in case of power/internet outage, etc.
  • Administrative staff assist with credentialing and onboarding.
  • Protocoling performed predominantly by technologists.
  • 24/7 IT support.
