Independent contractor fulltime Radiologist
Subspecialty: Body Imaging

Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Radiologist to join our dynamic team. As a Radiologist, you will utilize your expertise in diagnostic imaging techniques to provide accurate interpretations and diagnoses, contributing to optimal patient care. You will collaborate closely with referring physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals, employing advanced imaging modalities to identify and analyze various medical conditions. Additionally, you will actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of radiological procedures, strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform and Interpret Imaging Procedures:
    • Conduct and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine studies.
    • Apply advanced imaging techniques and protocols to ensure accurate and detailed evaluations of medical images.
    • Analyze and interpret imaging findings to identify abnormalities, diseases, injuries, or other medical conditions.
    • Actively participate in quarterly mock drills to ensure preparedness for emergencies, assess response protocols, and identify areas for improvement
    • Provide timely and comprehensive reports of radiological findings to referring physicians, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  2. Collaboration and Consultation:
    • Collaborate closely with referring physicians and healthcare professionals to understand patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
    • Consult with other specialists and participate in multidisciplinary conferences to provide comprehensive patient care and contribute to treatment decisions.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, risks, benefits, and alternative options, ensuring informed consent and patient comfort.
  3. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Maintain a high standard of image quality, ensuring proper patient positioning, optimal acquisition techniques, and accurate use of contrast agents.
    • Actively participate in quality assurance programs, monitoring and improving the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of radiological procedures.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and guidelines for imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in radiology, implementing evidence-based approaches to enhance patient care.
  4. Research and Education:
    • Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities, contributing to the advancement of radiological knowledge and innovation.
    • Publish research findings in reputable medical journals and present at conferences, sharing insights and promoting continuous learning.
    • Actively participate in educational activities, including teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Leadership and Team Collaboration:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to radiology staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Work closely with management and marketing teams to develop strategies for business growth, patient engagement, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Radiology from the appropriate governing body.
  • Valid state medical license and the ability to obtain necessary credentials to practice radiology.
  • Proven experience and expertise in interpreting a wide range of medical images and utilizing various imaging modalities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately interpret medical images and diagnose conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and referring physicians.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, prioritizing patient safety, and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated continuous learning and professional development, including participation in conferences, courses, and research activities.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance programs and regulatory standards in radiology.
  • Proficiency in using radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and other relevant technologies.
