Outpatient Vein Practice

St Johns Vein Center is the largest vein practice in Northeast Florida with three offices located in the greater Jacksonville area. SJV has been providing vein care to patients in Jacksonville and immediate surrounding areas for the past 12 years. The practice is an IAC accredited Vein Center and Vascular Lab. We have three locations in the greater Jacksonville area and this position will require travel between locations throughout the week.

One other physician, four mid-level providers and thirty ancillary employees support the practice.

Experience in the treatment of venous insufficiency (saphenous vein ablation) is desired but not necessary as training will be provided.

Physician's vein duties are primarily limited to new patient visits and ablation procedures:

• New patient visits and treatment plans. Mid-level assist with initial encounter assessment and with venous education.
• Experience in venous ablation utilizing both RF and Venaseal
• Review US reports and establish the treatment plan with the patient
• Requires experience with US; the physician will be responsible for US scanning during all ablations.

Medical Assistants and Mid-Levels provide substantial support:

• All patient encounters and procedure reports are drafted by a medical assistant scribe
• Mid-levels perform all Varithena Ablations
• Mid-levels perform all phlebectomy procedures
• Mid-levels perform all US guided and visual sclerotherapy
• Mid-levels perform most all follow-up visits
• Mid-levels handle most all phone calls to patients

This is a salaried position starting at $550,000.00/year and is negotiable. The practice provides health insurance, malpractice insurance and retirement benefits.

Requirements

Fellowship trained, board-certified, interventional radiologist; We will consider applicants for the vein practice only, in which case a fellowship in IR is not required.
