Radiologists (Senior Medical Officers) are on Tier 1 of New Zealand's Green List which means you are eligible for the Straight to Residence Visa and can apply for New Zealand residency before you arrive, provided you have a job offer from us.

Requirements to work In New Zealand:

To work in New Zealand as a Radiologist you will require:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and to gain a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Solid experience in general imaging, preferably in a larger centre but this is not essential.
  • All applicants must be able to meet the conditions of registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologists Board.

We can help get you started with this process so that you can become registered to practise in New Zealand.

Internationally qualified Diagnostic Radiologists and Interventional Radiologists are also encouraged to apply.
